Bob Hertzog was the only Realtor we spoke with that genuinely listened when we started talking to Realtors about short selling our old house. Bob was the only Realtor that I found who had a proven process for short sales that benefited the buyer and the seller. He was very down-to-earth and easy to work with from the initial walkthroughs all the way to closing. Bob even helped us find a great new home in the PV School District in less than a week right in the middle of Christmas vacation. I will definitely refer Bob to my family and friends knowing that he will give them exceptional customer service.

My wife found Bob Hertzog online as she searched for a Short Sale Specialist. Bob didn't disappoint us. He knows the short sale process extremely well... as well as our area (North Phoenix, Scottsdale). There are some things you can prepare for - but most items you can't (prepare for) and Bob was good at talking us through some of the tougher items. You may not think you did much, but I have been avoiding facing this situation since we got the call last Thursday regarding the foreclosure proceedings and it was tearing me up inside.

You gave me the hope, the strength, and the appropriate phone number to get the help and the answers I needed, as well as the assurance to trust in the fact that everything happens for a reason. I now feel more confident and comfortable with the process to follow…as I so choose with the options available to me.

The HOPE complaint number that you gave me transferred me to the Making Home Affordable Programs’ escalation department, (evidently they are like the watchdog of the HOPE program to make sure banks are working on the up and up and doing their job), and there I got some amazing help and explanation from their representative. He called Bank of America with me to try to determine if the loan was being modified by the HOPE program or was attempting to be modified in house by B of A. Bank of America said they could not determine that for sure yet, but it had the initials MHA, (Making Home Affordable), on it and that , yes, it was in the final approval stages. Russell, the MHAP representative said that was an encouraging statement and that he anticipated us receiving our decision one way or the other very soon….hopefully he is correct.

I still would like the names of agents in my area that specialize in short sales in case that is the route we decide is the best way to proceed with our particular situatoin. The representative looked up our property on zillow.com and informed me that the estimated appraisal value of our home has decreased by about $35,000. It is now only worth about $99,000 and we owe about $86,000 on it. We may decide that a short sale is the best option for us after all after consulting with an agent.

I called Bob after talking to a friend who he had just helped through the short sale of her home. I had never met him before and not knowing much about the process or what it entailed I made the call being very skeptical as there are unfortunately too many people out there who take advantage.
